*A Yarn Junkie's Paradise*

As most of our customers know, Jeanne Shrader, owner of Knitting Addiction is a Captain with the Southern Shores Volunteer Fire Department. She leads and inspires our towns' Fire Fighters and citizens with a strong heart.

As nearly everyone in our region and possibly our country knows, there are 60,000-plus acres of wild lands burning in Hyde County, NC. This is a brief viewing of SSVFD's mutual aid efforts to control these wildfires. We hope you enjoy and appreciate our firefighter's strong hearts and bodies as much as we do. These dedicated people are spreading good will and providing much needed safe conditions for the people of Hyde County and beyond.

We would like to sincerely thank all those Fire Departments and individuals who are currently assisting with this situation. While the burning of Wild Lands helps regeneration of wildlife and land in the future, it is a trmendous job to protect the property and lives that are in any fire path. We THANK YOU!
