The SPUD & CHLOË Trunk Show has arrived! This is the perfect breath of fresh air for Spring!
This cute-as-pie collection of sample garments will be in the shop through the Easter/Spring Break weeks. It has to be shipped back after April 16th, so DO NOT MISS IT! Really, don't miss it..you WILL regret it!
The superbly wearable Tea Party Cardi is one of the most flattering shapes going. And the Camp Hoodie is a really popular favorite. THE ANNUAL ELLYN COOPER TRUNK SHOW IS NOV. 10-30!!!
We have planned at length with Ellyn, so get ready everyone! This is always our most popular event of the year, drawing in Knitters from near and far. It is so much fun to see all the new fibers and new colors Ellyn comes up with. She has added LOTS of new fibers this autumn. We can't wait for it all to arrive!
Boxes will be arriving during the first week of November (the week following the Marathon-Jeanne is running it again this year, so come cheer her on!). Final Trunk Show dates will be November 10 through 30 and will be listed on the answering machine, signs in the shop, in The Coast ads and on the website. You DON'T want to miss this!

OCTOBER 5TH 2009
BUILD-A-BAG Trunk Show from Lawre’s Laine:
Lawre is the mastermind behind the incredibly fab knitting bags we are selling in the shop. (You know, the ones in the beautiful fabrics with great pockets and cool leather handles.) She sent us a wonderful sampling of her fabrics and bag options and you can come to the shop any day this week and design the knitting bag of your dreams. Lawre is going to make a special trip to the Outer Banks to visit us and bring even more fabric samples and inspiration on Saturday, October 10 from 10-4. If you are going to be on the beach this weekend make plans to come in and create the knitting bag of your dreams.
MALABRIGO YARN HAS ARRIVED:
Malabrigo Chunky and Sock. We are really excited about this yarn. We received the first shipment of Chunky and our first colors of sock yarn. More is on the way, and we are in love with what has arrived. The Chunky is a great bulky weight, 100% merino, kettle-dyed yarn. It knits about 3 to 3.5 stitches per inch and is a dream to work with. We all ready have a great guy hat and scarf sampled. Check it out HERE!
AUTUMN HOURS BEGIN:
Beginning October 18 we will change to off-season hours. So that means we are open Tuesday – Friday 10-6 and Saturday 10-4. It is always a little bit of a transition to closed on Mondays, so we hope this little reminder will help. The hours are always on the answering machine also, so when in doubt, give a shout.
NOVEMBER TRUNK SHOW IN NOVEMBER:
Moving into an advance planning mode for item number 4, we are planning an Ellyn Cooper Trunk Show for most of November. All the details are not in stone yet, but we anticipate the boxes from Ellyn will start arriving around November 6th and be here through December 1st. We are looking forward to wonderful new yarns in Ellyn’s amazing colors, so put the dates on your calendar if you are an Ellyn Junkie.
SALE YARNS OCTOBER 5th-10th:
This week is the final note about some end of season sale yarn. We will have the end of Baby Alpaca Worsted and Boucle, Karaoke, and Manos on sale this weekend for 25% off (30% if you buy 10 or more skeins of any of these yarns). We also have the end of Vanessa and Bellagio on sale (and a few odd balls of other things) for $2.00 a ball. We cleared some space for the Malabrigo and hope you will take advantage of some great yarn at great prices!
